Calling all preschoolers - Class is in session at the Needlz and Skratch hip- hop repair workshop!
With a spin from Skratch’s magical records, preschoolers go on a journey
learning the history and function of a variety of instruments, while helping an instrument in need.
During each lesson, a musical instrument character with a broken piece requests the help of the class for repair.
But, they have to hurry - it’s a race against the clock to do the repair so the instrument gets back in time for its performance!
Meet The Crew
Needlz
Needlz is the older sister to Skratch and the head manager of their workshop. When a problem arises, Needlz is always ready to find a solution.
Skratch
As the curious and high-energy younger brother of Needlz, who experiences autism and who's non-verbal, Skratch loves to jump into any adventure with his sister and TT45.
TT45
When Needlz and Skratch want to begin their adventures, TT45 is ready for action. With a quick spin from one of TT45's magical records, the journey begins.

Screening Our Pilot Episode
Needlz & Skratch premiered their pilot episode at the 29th SUNSCREEN film festival in St. Petersburg, Florida. Audiences of all ages enjoyed the screening, especially the aspects of mental health for young children.
The pilot episode was awarded "Best Web Series of 2024."

Learning While Having Fun!
With traditional methods of teaching, it can often be challenging and frustrating to children and
parents to not only learn but to retain what’s being taught. As a parent, this is something I
encountered when making sure my daughter would excel in school. I knew there had to be an
easier way for preschool children to learn the basics that was more in tune with their age
development and could be fun at the same time.
This is what led me to create Needlz & Skratch, a puppet series that uses music to engage
preschoolers first while teaching.
Each episode of the Needlz & Skratch show is designed to teach the basic learning objectives, such as the alphabet, numbers, teamwork, problem-solving, mindfulness, craft building skills and more. The twist is that music education methods are used to accomplish this. Music education methods, including basic note placement and key sounds.

Behind the Scenes
The laughs never stop while on the set of the Needlz & Skratch show. Keeping a straight face, while filming, is nearly impossible.
The puppeteers create a fun environment for visiting child actors as they learn the lesson of the episode.
Smiles, dancing feet and creative thinking captures the show's magic of learning.
